📍 Submit a Sailing Destination

Know a great anchorage, marina, or sailing destination that belongs on the map? Tell us about it. Every submission is reviewed by the site editor before being added. If your suggestion is accepted, it will appear on the Destinations page with full credit to you if you'd like.

Gets Added
Approved destinations appear on the interactive map with a marker, popup, and destination card.
Review time: Submissions are typically reviewed within 1–2 weeks. We cannot guarantee every submission will be added — we prioritize destinations with strong sailing relevance, accurate coordinates, and useful descriptions for other sailors. Commercial submissions, pure marinas without cruising context, and duplicate entries may not be accepted.

📌 Step 1 — Pin Your Destination on the Map

Click anywhere on the map to drop a pin. The latitude and longitude fields in the form will fill in automatically. You can drag the pin to adjust, or type coordinates directly if you know them.

✅ What Makes a Great Submission

✓ What We Love to See

  • Anchorages, harbors, and bays with specific sailing character
  • Destinations reachable under sail with detailed approach notes
  • Honest descriptions including real challenges (tide, weather, depth)
  • Hidden gems that experienced sailors know but aren't widely published
  • Specific hazard warnings that would genuinely help visiting sailors
  • Links to official harbor authority or NOAA resources
  • Any US coastal or inland waterway sailing destination

✗ What We Won't Add

  • Commercial marina listings without cruising context
  • Destinations already well-represented on the map
  • Locations without accurate coordinates
  • Descriptions that are pure marketing language
  • Foreign destinations (this site covers US waters)
  • Locations the submitter has not personally visited
  • Vague descriptions without actionable information for sailors
