🇨🇦 Nova Scotia — Sailing Resources
Nova Scotia has one of the richest sailing cultures in Canada. From Chester Race Week to Lunenburg’s wooden boat heritage, the rugged Cape Breton shores, and beautiful South Shore anchorages, NS rewards serious cruisers. Halifax is a world-class sailing city.
Fog & Tides: Atlantic fog is frequent — radar, AIS, and electronic charts are essential. Tides are moderate on the South Shore (1–2m) but dramatic in the Bay of Fundy approaches — always check tables.
